What’s the difference between Botox and Fillers?
Toxins are used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles by paralyzing the muscle it’s being injected too. (This is why you should always go to an expert!)
Fillers, on the other hand, are made of a gel-like substance we call hyaluronic acid. We can use this to fill in deep wrinkles, smooth out lines, fill in hollowness and help with volume loss.
The two compliment each other very well and provide beautiful, natural looking results.

What are Fillers?
Dermal fillers are gels that are injected directly into the area of concern to provide an immediate change in appearance. Fillers are most often made of hyaluronic acid (a copycat of the hyaluronic acid already in your skin), making them non-allergenic and have the ability to achieve natural results.
Fillers literally fill in a space. They can be used to enhance lips, fill lines and folds and smooth wrinkles.
Unlike toxins (such as Jeuveau,, Xeomin or Dysport), fillers can replace volume loss and have an immediate effect (toxins may take up to 2 weeks to take effect).

What is Botox?
Botox is a neurotoxin used to weaken/disable muscle fibers in a designated area. Botox was developed from the botulinum toxin and diluted down to make it a safe injectable that is now FDA approved for cosmetic use! When injected in extremely small concentrations, Botox prevents nerve cell signals from reaching the muscles, which leaves the muscles unable to contract. When Botox is applied to lines on the face, the muscles relax and allow the overlying skin to relax and smooth, thus removing folds and wrinkles.
You may have heard other names like Dysport or Xeomin- these are just the names for other companies’ neurotoxin injectable! They all work pretty similarly. Botox is the oldest and most widely recognized name.
Procedures take between 5 to 15 minutes to perform.

When will I see results?
Fillers: Results are visible immediately after treatment. The healing process then begins which involves swelling for about 3-7 days depending on the amount injected, area injected, and how your body reacts to the procedure. The product then settles and you’ll enjoy your final results about 2-3 weeks after injections. Please give yourself a minimum of 2 weeks before any events or vacations in case of residual bruising and swelling.
Toxins: Results may be visible as soon as 48 hours but we generally give a range up to 7 dates.
